Description

Broad Street Presbyterian Church is a 130-year-old urban congregation located on the near east side of Columbus Ohio. The 800 members come from over 40 zip codes in the metro area. The congregation has a strong commitment to mission in its immediate neighborhood, throughout the nation and the world.

Responsibilities

Supervise school-age children. Facilitate developmentally appropriate school-age children’s activities (academic enrichment, physical fitness, social-emotional learning, and healthy living).

Francine Marchelle, Director, Broad Street Achievements

Specific Responsibilities

Supervise children using childcare best practices. Coach & facilitate learning. Communicate effectively with all stakeholders. Track and report children’s attendance, participation, assessments and other reports required. Provide feedback to program leadership. Follow all licensing, organization, and programmatic policies.

Preferred Certifications: First Aid/CPR. Communicable Disease. Child Abuse. School-Age Endorsement.

Qualifications

2 years in school age childcare or education field; Career Pathway Level (CPL) 2 or higher. Possess a minimum of an Associate’s Degree in education, child and family community studies, or child development. Be familiar with ODJFS licensing rules.

Lead Teacher: 2-7 pm daily.
Assistant Teacher: 2:30-6:30 pm daily.
All Teachers during summer: 7:30 am – 2:30 pm daily.
