Mission Trips

Mission trips change lives. We go in partnership and serve alongside our mission partners as they lead the way for us to learn and serve. Mission trips are a powerful part of our connection to others in the U.S. and around the world.

Ohio: iGen Overnight Service Trip

All Ages
April, 2019

In 2016 and 2017, BSPC hosted our first two intergenerational (iGen) Overnight Service Trips. All ages (seriously, all ages from 5 to 80) participated and we had a great time spending an evening and a day working and learning at the Presbyterian Farm in Logan, Ohio.  Stay tuned for more information about a trip in April, 2019.

Washington, DC: Church of the Pilgrims

High School Youth and Adults
June, 2019

The Church of the Pilgrims hosts a service-learning mission experience, The Pilgrimage, that includes service, learning, reflection and public advocacy.  The Pilgrimage includes “doing things” for people like serving a meal and repairing a home. However, service for people is only one component of our learning process. This trip focuses on enabling and motivating young people to see that “the way things are now is not the only way they have to be.” For rising 9th graders-completed 12 graders. More information will be available in January , 2019.

Virginia: Mission & Massanetta

Middle School Youth and Adult Chaperones
July, 2019

During this week-long trip we’ll spend several days doing mission work and then attend the Massanetta Springs Middle School Conference in Harrisonburg, Virginia.  We’ll enjoy service work, canoes, campfires, games, music, energizers, worship, and more with our youth group and 350 new friends there!  The cost for the week is $575; scholarships are available upon request.  For rising 6th graders-completed 8th graders. More information will be available in January, 2019.

High School Youth and Adults
Summer, 2021

Every three years, high school youth and adults travel to Peru to serve and learn alongside our PC(USA) Mission Co-Worker Jed and Jenny Koball.  Our church has been traveling to Peru in partnership since 2000 to learn about justice issues facing our world and how we can be part of the work and advocacy to change and better the world.
