Broad Street Steeple Illumination Project: Phase One Completed, Phase Two in Progress

Lighting the windows of the steeple has been on the wish list of the Building and Grounds Committee for years, but pressing building needs have had to take precedence.

The steeple stained glass illumination project is now being funded by a donation from Anne Griffin, who shared she wanted to have the windows lit to the glory of God, as a beacon to the city, in honor and loving memory of her husband, long-time Broad Street member Jay Yano, and as a celebration of the artistry of the stained glass.

Broad Street Afterschool Becomes Broad Street Achievement

As part of our Neighborhood Ministries program updates, the Broad Street Afterschool Program has undergone a significant name change.

Because we do more than afterschool, we changed our name from Broad Street Afterschool to Broad Street Achievement—still BSA, but with a wider focus!

John Glenn Funeral Service Led by Amy Miracle

January 18, 2017

On Sat., December 17, Amy Miracle conducted the funeral service for astronaut, U.S. senator, and life-long Presbyterian John Glenn.  Held in Mershon Auditorium on the OSU campus, the service was broadcast live on local Columbus TV stations and on C-Span.

Neighborhood Ministries Program Get Branding Makeover

In March, 2016, the Neighborhood Ministries Council held a retreat to explore our mission, vision and values. An area where members believed consistency was important was in the branding of our ministries: Broad Street Afterschool, Broad Street Food Pantry, and COMPASS.

iGen Music Event on February 5 Features Japanese Taiko Drumming
