Meet Your Farmers:

Te’Lario Watkins II & Tiger Mushroom Farms 🍄‍🟫

What started as a Cub Scout project at age 6 turned into something much bigger. By 7, Te’Lario had started Tiger Mushroom Farms. At 12, he founded The Garden Club Project to help young people grow food and address food insecurity.

More than a decade later, Te’Lario is still growing mushrooms, now alongside fresh produce. And after a day on the farm? He’ll happily choose a bowl of ramen.🍜 Meet Te’Lario Watkins II, and shop his fresh mushrooms and produce at our upcoming Farmers Market!

Christina Allen & Food Leads 🛍️

What if a meal kit could do more than make dinner easier? 🤔

After winning The Ohio State President’s Prize, Christina Allen founded Food Leads to make healthy eating more accessible through fresh, locally sourced meal kits. 🥕 When she’s not helping others eat well, you’ll find Christina growing cucumbers and lettuce in her community garden, or enjoying Ethiopian food with a side of broccoli. Meet Christina and other local farmers at our Farmers Market on Sunday, August 16, from 11:00 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

Guy Emmons & Guy Smiley’s Market 🥬

How much food can you grow in your own backyard? For Guy Emmons, the answer is three-fifths of it.

What began as a way to enjoy fresh, organic tomatoes year-round has grown into a backyard full of fruits, leafy greens, and vegetables that help feed his family. Guy’s philosophy is simple: it’s easier to make healthy choices when healthy food is growing right outside your door.

Most days, he enjoys his vegetables fresh from the garden, but he’ll never turn down sushi or an oatmeal raisin cookie.

Meet Guy and the other local farmers at our upcoming Farmers Market!

Shawn Duffy & The Garden For All 🧺

Sometimes, all it takes is three rows of vegetables to start something extraordinary.

When Catherine and Shawn Duffy planted a small garden during COVID, they donated every harvest to a local food pantry. Six years later, The Garden for All is growing tens of thousands of pounds of organic produce each year to help stock food pantries across Central Ohio.

This year, they’re working toward an incredible goal: 50,000 pounds of produce for Central Ohio food pantries.

Shawn’s favorite thing to eat? A good vegetable curry. His favorite things to grow? Eggplant, tomatoes, carrots, and okra.

Meet Shawn and other local farmers at our upcoming Farmers Market!
