A Letter to Light the Way:
An Invitation to Our BSPC Community
![]()
Each of us came to BSPC carrying something.
Once we got here we found light in a community where our faith is visible in shared action and where kindness becomes a radical force for good.
As the world shifts, as we weather storms time and again, change can feel relentless.
In these moments, Broad Street provides a space to find our way forward.
Every Sunday when we pause together after a complicated week, light shines in.
As we find space to breathe, listen, and reconnect, light sparks within our community of faith.
It shines through people who show up for one another with friendship, wisdom, and care.
When we come here, we’re reminded that none of us will tread water alone.
With that, the light reaches beyond the church, with neighborhood-focused ministries like Broad Street’s Food Pantry and COMPASS helping those navigating food insecurity and basic need instabilities.
In a time when we can feel powerless, generosity gives us a way to act.
We may not be able to control everything, but we can choose what we sustain.
You can choose the kind of community and world you want to help create.
We can hold light for ourselves and for those finding their way.
We each have our own story about what Broad Street means to us.
What connects our stories is this: Broad Street is a beacon.
It’s God’s steady lightguiding us through uncertainty, reminding us hope is always a choice.
Will you make a gift in an amount that’s meaningful to you to bring us closer to our financial goals for 2027?
In a world of uncertainty, your support means BSPC can continue being a beacon of hope.
Let’s share the light,
Christiane Buuck, John & Kristy Clay
