“Why do we call it Good Friday? What’s good about it?” one of our kids asked in children’s time this past Sunday.
Oh, my what a good question. And my colleague Brittany Porch gave an excellent answer. She said it’s because of what happens on Easter. We call that day “good” because we know how the story ends, with life triumphing over death in resurrection.
This Good Friday my colleagues and I invite you to experience the depth and breadth of this day unlike any other in the church year. We invite you to join us for one of three experiences. We plan to meet at the identified church 15 minutes before the service begins. Our plan is to sit together as a group.
If you have any questions about these experiences, please email apalmerton@bspc.org

There are many ways to spend Good Friday. Many of us have work or school or other responsibilities that day. Whatever your circumstances, I invite you to take some time to reflect on the events of that first Good Friday. Take a walk, read a devotional, spend some time in prayer, call up a friend.
Come Easter morning, we will be reminded of why we call this day “Good.”
How do you plan to mark Good Friday?
